Friday Fun Facts – Oct 15th

Friday, October 15, we will be praying the Living Rosary in Church at 1:00PM. Grades three through 8 are participating and will make up the Living Rosary. All other classes will be in attendance praying the Rosary. All parents are invited to attend.

This coming week is relatively quiet so there will be much uninterrupted learning happening in each class!

The Diocese has issued directives for each school to follow for formal Sports for the Fall. These directives are very restrictive and would cause an undue burden on the school, the personnel, and the community. Holy Savior Academy has, therefore, opted not to offer indoor sports during the 2021-2022 school year. Instead, I would like to explore the option of doing an Intramural Sports Program for all of our children in grades 3 through 8. I would like to have a meeting with any interested parents who wish to coach Basketball to boys or girls or mixed boys/girls teams. Groups would be paired 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8 and would meet weekly for skills training and eventually play games within their own group and with other groups within our school. Parents would still be required to have Virtus Training and Fingerprinting/Background checks to qualify as a coach. I would like to schedule a meeting of all interested parents for Monday, October 18, at 6:30PM in the school gym. Hopefully, this is a good day and time for everyone!

On Friday, October 22, the teachers will have a Diocesan Professional Day so our children have no school.
Have a wonderful weekend and a great week!

God bless each of you!
