Friday Fun Facts – May 6th

This week has been Teacher Appreciation Week and our fantastic parents have done a phenomenal job of showing each and every one of our teachers and staff just how much they appreciate them. Each day, all of us were pleasantly surprised with goodies, treats and gifts. Thank you, parents, for making our week so very special! We are so fortunate to have just wonderful parents.

The winner for today’s Calendar Raffle is Indira W., ticket #672, and the prize is $25.00. Congratulations!

Sunday is Mother’s Day! Happy Mother’s Day to all of our moms!

On Monday, we will have our Rise Up and Run Movin’ to the Beat! Field Day! Students should wear their Rise Up and Run Movin’ to the Beat tee shirts, sweatpants or shorts and sneakers. The whole school will be involved in fun activities all morning and then in the afternoon after lunch and recess the children will be involved in group activities. What a great way for us to add up our Fit Minutes!!

Friday officially ends our Rise Up and Run Movin’ to the Beat Fundraiser. We will end with our Awards Assembly and hopefully, we will be able to have our Movie Night on Friday night from 7:45PM until 9:30PM. We will still have other opportunities to raise more funds for our Rise Up and Run Movin’ to the Beat Fundraiser at our “Day of Giving” activities on May 25, the Softball Game, and May 26, the “Day of Giving”!

On May 19, Ms. D’Souza is planning to have the Spring Art Show! She and the children are finishing up all of the projects for display. The Art Show will be on Thursday, May 19, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM. During the Art Show, I thought that it would be wonderful to showcase the musical talent of some of our children and individual students would be invited to play piano, violin, flute, guitar, etc. quietly as the Art Show is going on to entertain our guests. I will be sending out a request for volunteers to play and then I will hold auditions during the school day on Thursday, May 12, and Friday, May 13. Hopefully, some of our children will be willing to play for us.

In addition, Ms. D’Souza still needs recycled tin cans and cardboard boxes for some of the projects and displays. Please send into school. Thank you in advance.

Have a wonderful weekend! Make Mother’s Day special for your moms!

May God continue to bless each of you.
