Friday Fun Facts – April 29th

Well, here we are at the end of April and ready to begin May. May is a very special month since it is the month of Mary, our Mother, so our focus and prayers are to our beloved Mother Mary.
Our lucky winner for today’s drawing of the Calendar Raffle is Chris F., Ticket Number 667, winning $100. Congrats to Chris!

Tonight, we continue our Rise Up and Run Movin’ to the Beat activities with our Dance Party beginning at 6:00PM in the back lot or in the gym, depending on the weather. Hopefully, everyone will be there to dance to the music of DJ Elms and add to your Fit Minutes! The winner of the Dance Moves Competition will be announced! It will become our signature move for our Rise Up and Run Movin’ to the Beat Fundraiser. We will dance from 6:00PM until 7:30PM. Don’t forget to wear your Rise Up and Run Tee Shirt.

On Saturday, many of our second graders will be making their First Holy Communion at Sacred Heart Church. We pray for all our second graders as they receive Jesus for the first time.
The Designer Bag Bingo will take place on Saturday evening at 6:15PM at Our Lady of Fatima Recreation Center. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the door. Come join us for bingo fun and possibly win a designer bag.

On Tuesday, our middle school students will be having a special presentation by St. Thomas Aquinas Leadership Club. Our hope is that our middle level students will be inspired by the Leaders from St. Thomas to become “Ambassadors” for Holy Savior Academy and represent our school in a variety of different ways and on different occasions. We plan to provide training for these “HSA Ambassadors.” Tuesday’s presentation would be the beginning of that training.

Tuesday is also “Chick-Fil-A Day!” Purchase foods at Chick-Fil-A, mention that it is for Holy Savior Academy, and Chick¬-Fil-A will match the dollar amount and donate it back to HSA!Also, on Tuesday evening, Ms. M. Tambone, one of our parents, will have a Jazz Class at 6:00PM in the gym.

On Thursday, we will have a special May Prayer Service at 9:00AM to celebrate Mary, our Mother, and to pray for all those that we dedicated our Rise Up and Run Movin’ to the Beat fit minutes to when we began our journey several weeks ago. We will be led in prayer and the Rosary by our third graders. Parents are invited to attend.

Our Rise Up and Run Movin’ to the Beat Field Day will take place on Friday, May 6, from 9:00AM until 11:30AM. All of the children will be involved in activities all morning long under the guidance of parent volunteers and our seventh and eighth grade students. This is one of the final activities for our Rise Up and Run Movin’ to the Beat Fundraiser. The Raindate for Field Day is Monday, May 9.

Friday is a half day session with dismissal at noon. Aftercare will be provided. Remember to bring a lunch if going to Aftercare.

As a Kick-off to the “Day of Giving” there will be a Softball Game at Jost Athletic Field; four of our personnel will be playing in the School District vs. First Responders Softball game.
