Friday Fun Facts – Mar 22

On Sunday, March 13, Daylight Savings Time Begins so put your clocks ahead one hour.

Next week is relatively quiet so much will be happening within each class. On Thursday, we will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a $1.00 Green Dress Down Day! The monies collected will be for the people in the Ukraine. Assumption Catholic Church in Perth Amboy has supplied us with information about the Humanitarian Aid Fund of Ukraine. Whatever we collect will be sent to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for the war victims. In addition to this, we pray daily for the people of the Ukraine.

On Friday, we will have our Opening Rally for this year’s Rise Up and Run Movin’ to the Beat Fundraiser. This fun event will get us started with our sign-up for this year’s event so that we are ready for the official opening on April 1.

Our Fifth/Sixth Grade Basketball Team is having a great year! They are 7-1 thus far and still have several games so please try to support them; check out our website for their schedule.

Our track team is also making a comeback! Mr. Hettiarachchi and Mr. Sidun are taking on the responsibility of coaching our team. Look for sign-up information that will be coming out soon! Thanks to both of our parents for their willingness to take this on. I am sure it will be a great season!
Registration is open so please remind friends and family that there is still time to register.

At the end of each school day, please use caution and care in our parking lot. Cars should not be parked in the Fire Lane in the front of the school. Children should not be running and playing on the grassy areas on the right and left of the entrance. Starting Monday, March 14, the children will be exiting the building and remaining in their lines (Grades K-5) along the front entrance until the parents pick them up. Please exit quickly to your cars. Middle Level students that are not immediately picked up will go into the main lobby to wait for their parents.

Reminder for Basketball Team Parents: Children should not be dropped off in front of the school for practice without a Coach being present. Someone has to be responsible for the children; they cannot be left unattended.

Have a wonderful three-day weekend! Have a great week!

God bless you and keep you in His loving care.

Mrs. Woodburn
